Re: Bump Firing your semi auto :)
Rubber Band Assisted Bump Fire
The rubber band assisted bump fire technique is pretty much self explanatory, you are using the rubber band to assist with the technique of bump firing. The rubber band I used in my videos...... apply pressure to the back of the trigger by means of pulling the trigger forward when lassoed on the trigger, stretched around the mag well and lassoed again on the trigger via the other side of the gun! Tac Trigger pushes your trigger forward, a rubber band pulls your trigger forward, both will force your trigger to reset quicker. In the video below I am shouldering my rifle normally. To bump fire from this position I simply release my grip with my right hand leaving only my trigger finger on the trigger. Then I simply pull the rifle forward off my shoulder ever so slightly, and into my finger. It is important that your leave the distance between your finger and your shoulder the same. Pull the gun into your finger until the hammer releases. http://www.poormansmachinegun.com/PMMG5.htm |

Automatic fire is a waste of ammo. :36_1_30:

After a short burst and some three round bursts, I put it over on full auto and just control fired one or two rounds at a time. Nothing else is ever the same. |

And fill out the miles of paperwork, registration, establishing records of where your guns are, asking permission for a BATF man to be up your ass. No thanks .... :36_1_30: . |

Agree...... You dump a thrity round mag in about 4 seconds.... THEN WHAT?? IF you missed me(which is highly likely) I now have the oppertunity to take your head clean off (cause I know your location) with 1 to three shots from my Rifle. Looks awesome ......... but has very little pratical applications in IMO. T |
Re: Bump Firing your semi auto :)
Once upon a time I had the distinct pleasure of shooting an ingram submachine gun. My target was some ten yards distant. Nothing fancy, just holding the trigger down and letting it rip. As near as figure the first round hit the target and some fifteen rounds chewed up the edges. Where the other fifteen rounds went I have no idea.
Full auto has its uses. For the troops, having a full-auto capability provides a wonderful psychological edge. When facing human wave charges I would prefer a weapon with full auto. It also might have uses in close quarters, house-to-house fighting where you don't give a rip about bystanders, have ammunition to spare, and buddies to back you up while your changing magazines. The problem with full-auto is that its too easy to misuse. Short, controlled bursts; maybe. Bump firing off the hip? Only if your posing for photos in the battle of Monrovia. |
